The Filipino group known as 4th Impact, gave a stellar performance on their 1st X Factor live show on October 31st. They sang “Problem” by Ariana Grande.
Hitting the high notes of the song posed no problem at all for the all-girl group. 4th Impact had been impressing the judges since their audition.
The group is composed of sisters Mylene, Celina, Irene, and Almira Cercado, who hail from Isabela.
Like before, their incredible vocals and energetic performance on the live show got praise and respect from the X-Factor judges.
Simon Cowell said at first, “I don’t think I really need to say anything, do I?” He was noting the cheers and wild applause of the audience after the group’s performance.
But, Simon continued his comment and said, “That was fantastic! Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. You know what’s so good about you girls? You are great singers and you’ve got great attitude, and you rehearsed and I have to hand this to you tonight. You have done an outstanding job…The song was perfect, the choreography was great, the vocals were fantastic. Girls, congratulations!”
Nick Grimshaw also heaped praises on 4th Impact’s performance with these words: “I’m so happy you did that song that is so much more you, perfect song for you. And I think you just set like the level this competition needs to be at. It was incredible, it was perfect.”
Meanwhile, Rita Ora thinks that the group’s vocals are beyond belief. She remarked, “I mean, that voice though, it’s like how does it come out of that body? I can’t even like understand it. But what I love the most, do you know what? You guys have such a great bond, it’s just lovely to watch and I’m just really happy that you decided to come on this show to do that. So,thank you very much.”
The group responded with, “It’s an honor for us!”
The mentor of 4th impact, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, was so proud of her girls. She commented, “Girls, honestly, I couldn’t be more proud. Please, you have to stop thanking us, we’re thankful to have you. You are fantastic!”
The Filipina group was supposed to perform “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon, but found it difficult to perfect the song. They chose to sing “Problem” instead, and nailed it!
The only negative comments we’ve read online had nothing to do with their performance. Netizens are reacting to their dress. They said that the stylist made the wrong choice in letting them wear those girly skirts ang tops.
But, the crowd at the live show hardly noticed what 4th Impact wore that night. They were captivated by the group’s brilliant performance onstage, nothing else really mattered.
The first elimination show will be on Sunday night, November 1, at 8:00 PM (UK time). One of the finalists will be booted out of the competition.
Will 4th Impact be eliminated? No, we don’t think so.
Based on the impact they have made on the public, they will probably land at the top three. If they continue to perform well, they have a very big chance to win this year’s X-Factor competition.
