Startattle.com — The romantic-comedy TV series ‘Because Of You’ (BOY) had its debut telecast on November 30th on GMA-7.
From its initial airing, the new rom-com TV series has gained lots of avid followers, who were delighted with the plot as well as the realistic and funny dialogues between the characters.
For the first 3 episodes, ‘Because Of You’ has overtaken the ratings of ‘On the Wings of Love’ (OTWOL) of ABS-CBN for Mega Manila.

Here are the highlights of the past 4 episodes, in case you missed them.
Carla Abellana plays the role of Andrea Marquez, a woman who spent her life mostly on her own.
Save for her fiance, Oliver Dictado (Rafael Rosell), and 2 great friends, Andrea feels alone because she was abandoned by her parents at different stages in her life.
On the day of their wedding, Oliver abandoned Andrea at the altar.
He said he cannot marry her since he feels he still has a lot to do in his life and he wasn’t ready yet.
In other words, Oliver chose career over marriage.
It left Angela distraught and lost, with only the photo of her family giving her strength.
On the night of the postponed wedding, she almost lost the precious photo when it flew near the bridge.
As she was reaching for it, tycoon Jaime Salcedo (Gabby Concepcion) saw her and thought she was committing suicide.
She fell from the bridge as she was talking to Jaime and he saved her.
Jaime brought her to the hospital and paid the bill.
When she recovered from the hospital, her loyal friends Rebecca Reyes (Iya Villania) and selfie addict Alex Tamayo (Vaness del Moral) found her.
Jaime already left. Now who is Jaime?
He is a tycoon who is being cheated on by his wife Veronica (Valerie Concepcion), who is very unhappy with their marriage.
Jaime knows his wife is discontented with their married life but does not know that she is having an affair.
Andrea and her friends found out that Jaime is a tycoon with a good-looking family since he is featured on a magazine, with a billboard to boot.
Anyway, back to Andrea. She went back to her job, to set her life in order again, but found out she has been fired.
She applied for a job and was accepted in a company which is owned by Jaime.
She has been accepted as some sort of an assistant to Jaime.
She had several embarrassing moments with him because she is always caught off-guard by Jaime while she is making some comments about him.
Early on, she also had a nasty encounter with Veronica when she accidentally spilled a drink on her dress.
This sent Veronica to go ballistic and humiliate Andrea in front of Jaime.
Andrea committed her first mistake on the job on December 3rd’s episode when she failed to bring some important documents to Jaime’s house.
Jaime got mad at her inefficiency.
Andrea couldn’t help but cry a bit and is caught by Jaime while she is wiping away her tears.
Because of this, instead of describing her boss as “yummy”, she is seen describing him as “yucky” in the next episode.
A lot of people are excited about the next ‘Because Of You’ installment because clips are shown wherein Jaime seemed apologetic over his outburst with Andrea.
What will happen next? Will they have dinner together?
‘Because Of You’ is also bringing in the “kilig” factor.
Despite the big gap in their ages, there’s undeniable chemistry between Gabby and Carla onscreen.
This makes the ‘Because Of You’ rom-com such a treat, making viewers feel good just before they sleep.
