Wally Bayola did an amazing Miss Universe Host Steve Harvey impersonation.
Wally Bayola added another character to his repertoire by impersonating Steve Harvey on Kalyeserye’s January 14 episode.
Wally, who plays Lola Nidora, Duhrizz and Dra. Dora at different times, played a credible impersonation of Steve Harvey during the Miss Barangay contest where Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) was one of the contestants.
Wally as Steve entered the scene just after Yaya Dub won first runner-up in the Ms. Barangay pageant.
His mere appearance brought the house down, with the studio audience screaming and stomping their feet before he even spoke a word.
As expected, his first words were, “I need to apologize”.
But unlike Harvey who mixed up the winners, Wally just repeated that Yaya Dub was the first runner-up and Ms Barangay 2016 was Ms. Maria Munoz.
The host said that’s what he actually read.
Even then, Wally continued and said:
Please don’t hold it against the ladies. I will take responsibility for this. It’s my mistake… I feel so bad. It’s on the card.
He went on with his dialogue, sounding and acting very much like Steve.
Fans heaped praises on Wally for his newest character and expressed how much they enjoyed his impersonation of Steve.
His portrayal was a riot, overshadowing Yaya Dub’s sadness for failing to bring home the Ms. Barangay crown and the P5,000 prize money that comes with the title.
Yaya Dub joined the contest so she could buy chewibols (meds) for Lola Nidora from her cash prize.
As the Kalyeserye came to a close, Wally stayed true to his character even when Jose Manalo played around with “Steve’s” mustache.
Up to the last minute, Wally managed to make everybody laugh.
