On January 31, the wedding videographer Jason Magbanua uploaded the touching video of Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna’s weddding at St. James the Great Parish in Alabang.
The brilliantly edited video showed clips before, during and after the wedding ceremony proper.
The whole video is only 4 minutes and 48 seconds long, yet it shows the highlights of the wedding in a narrative that shows the right mix of drama, comedy, and romance.
There were a lot of shots that focused on guests who got misty-eyed from the wedding that was happening right before their eyes.
Even the bride and the groom had to wipe back tears at many points in the ceremony and reception.
Vic, who is known to be a man of few words when it comes to his emotions, had a lot of words to say to his bride and to all his children.
At the reception, Vic said:
Sanay ako sa mga jowa lang, mga syotitay, mga fling. Pero masarap palang sabihin yung, asawa ko.
The guests shouted merrily at his words.
To his kids, Vic said:
In this instance, naramdaman ko kung gano ninyo ko nirerespeto. Yung pagmamahal ninyo sa akin, damdam na damdam ko talaga.
Meanwhile, Pauleen countered with a touching message:
Our story is not ideal. And a lot of people didn’t understand us, didn’t understand the kind of love that we have.
A love that’s so genuine, it was just unbreakable.
In the last minute of the video, the following words of Pauleen can be heard in the background as wedding scenes were shown:
You made me see that true love knows no age, no boundaries, beyond what the eyes can see. That true love is felt.
Vic is then shown, saying to Pauleen:
And to you, my asawa, I love you, forever.
Then he kissed Pauleen on the lips.
The closing words of the video were from Pauleen, who, with a shaky voice said:
Remember from this day on, we are one.
I will hold your hand through this whole journey and I will not let go. Thank you and I love you.
Jason Magbanua’s video of Vic and Pauleen Luna’s wedding had gone viral as expected, and has been viewed more than 849,000 times on YouTube as of February 2.
