After a two-week break since May 2, Wowowin will be back on air on May 16, just before 24 Oras. Willie Revillame promises to come back with a bigger, better Wowowin.
In late April, Willie asked for a vacation from the management of GMA for health reasons. He said he wanted to have a check-up and to rest for some time. The game show host also said he wanted to prepare for Wowowin’s upcoming first anniversary celebration with the Kapuso network.

In an interview with Cata Tibayan of 24 Oras, Willie said, “Yung talagang bakasyon namin, hindi talaga bakasyon. It’s more of preparation para sa pagbabalik….para mapakita sa kanila na napakaganda na ng lahat – ng games, ng show, ng set up, ng ilaw,ng sound system, para quality talaga.” (Our vacation, it wasn’t really a vacation. It’s more of preparation for our comeback. So we could show them that everything’s much better now – the games, the show, the set-up, the lights, the sound system, so it’s really quality.)
In all phases of the ongoing preparations for Wowowin’s comeback, Willie was very much hands-on. He was even looking into the choreography of his dancers.
Known for singing his own song during the show, Willie revealed that he has a new love song. He said it’s an Ogie Alcasid composition titled “Akala Ko”, and he described it as a “hugot” love song.
Willie also said that it will be easier to win prizes when Wowowin comes back on air.
What’s more interesting is that Willie said he will have a new co-host. He didn’t give out the name of his new co-host but hinted that she also became a contender in an international beauty contest just like Pia Wurtzbach.
