Comments from the judges

Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid (age 50):

Esang! How are you, my child? How are you? This is all I can tell you. You are totally “ka-hang.” Ka-hang. [Kahanga-hanga] You’re admirable.

You were saying a while ago, you can do everything. Now, you did Barbra Streisand. You’re too much. You’re so good. Congratulations, my child.

Look at how they react to you. God bless you, my child. You’re really admirable.

Singer and actress Sharon Cuneta (age 52):

Esang. Here I go again. You know, I’m touched by you, my child, because from the beginning you’re not only good, you’re a very humble kid.

I hope when you’re in Broadway, you won’t forget me.

Singer-songwriter Gary Valenciano (aka Gary V) [age 54]:

I’m writing a lot here. Esang, you know, basically, ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’, whether it’s kids or it’s adults or grown-ups, is about imitation, isn’t it, of artists?

But, you know, with all your performances, what I want is to watch Esang as “Esang.” Because, Esang, you have qualities that for others, it will take them years to learn. But you have it. All of it. You have all those qualities.

And one thing I have to say, your being humble, your humility, those are the formulas for you to stay long in the field of theater, in the field of music, in the field of being an artist. God bless you, Esang. Remember that.
