Regine Velasquez:

Good evening to all of you. I’m not well prepared. I just came from church. This is my Baclaran dress. [Baclaran is an open market located in Pasay City and Parañaque City, wherein you can buy cheap goods.]

I know. I’m happy to be here. You know a while ago, I was watching you doing your opening number and you said in your spiel “I may not be”… what’s that? “Perfect pitch”, sweetheart, perfect pitch is rare. So, even us, even me, I’m not pitch perfect.

Yes, your dance moves may be wrong, but that’s you. But let me just tell you, I think you are a pure-blooded entertainer and performer. And I just want to say, you have a connection with your audience, they love you and you inspire them.

That is also a very, very rare quality. So, I just wanted to tell you that. Isn’t it? [talking to the audience] So, actually, we were all thinking, because I talked to all of them [the audience] earlier outside.

I was there doing a survey. Yes, I was doing a survey. Why is it your last [concert]? You’re going to have a baby? You can actually have a baby. Look at me, I had a baby and then I still sing.

Anne Curtis:

Because it’s like… that’s ok.

Regine Velasquez:

No! An entertainer will always be an entertainer. A performer will always be a performer. And you know what? You have an audience, you know, watching you and who’s very happy to see you, obviously.

So, we pray that this would not be your last. Because we’re still going to attend, aren’t we? [the audience says ‘yes’] There you go. Thank you very much for having me. A big hand again for Miss Anne Curtis!

Anne Curtis:

And of course, Miss Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

Regine Velasquez:

All right, I’m going to change [clothes] now because Susan and Amalia are getting cold.
