Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, who is Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez‘s husband, has revealed on the lifestyle-morning talk show, Magandang Buhay (Good Life), that he secretly had a crush on Regine back then.

Ogie Alcasid composed the song ‘Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka’ (I Dream Of Loving You) like he was talking to Regine Velasquez.

Regine asked Ogie to write a song for her first movie called ‘Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka’ (I Dream Of Loving You) in 2003, the movie of Regine and the actor Christopher de Leon.

At the time Regine Velasquez asked him to write a song for her, he had feelings for her already.

Ogie Alcasid:

She [Regine] said, “make me another one [song].” What’s the story about? “Nothing really, I have feelings for somebody and I like him so much. Something like that.” So, I thought of my feelings for her [Regine].

So, that’s the ‘Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka’ (I Dream Of Loving You). It’s like this: When I was writing the verse, I said when I talk to Regine, I tell her stories but it’s as if I don’t hear her. So, I said “Whenever you’re there, I feel nervousness and joy at the same time. As if I don’t hear your voice. I’m just amazed when I’m talking to you.”
