With Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla‘s latest film, ‘The Hows of Us‘, becoming the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, one cannot help but wonder how much money they are making at the moment.
But even if Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla‘s net worth are in the hundreds of millions in PHP terms, they put a brake on their expenses too, considering the high inflation rate in the Philippines.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, talked about how they handle their finances.
Kathryn Bernardo said she controls her spending these days since the prices now are no joke, like for example, gasoline or fuel.
She said her mother, Luzviminda Bernardo, guides her well and constantly reminds her about her expenses.
However, Kathryn Bernardo said she also does not deprive herself from enjoying her earnings. She pointed out there should be a good balance.
Kathryn Bernardo reminds everyone to think well before buying anything. She said:
Siguro doblehin lang natin yung before buying anything, isipin mo kung kailangan mo ba, kasi iba ngayon eh.
[Maybe just double your effort that before buying anything, ask yourself if you really need it, because it is different now.]
Kathryn added that she is thankful that her mother gives her proper guidance because when you’re young, you don’t think too much about spending.
Giving credit to his mother Karla Estrada , and to Kathryn’s mother for managing their finances, Daniel said, “Yung mga ermat namin magagaling.” [Our moms are good.]
Daniel Padilla also said that his girlfriend and screen partner, Kathryn Bernardo reminds him to think before spending. She asks, “Do you really need it?’
It’s normal to be thrifty, according to Daniel Padilla. If one is not a billionaire, one really has to be frugal because money is easily gone. But at the same time, Daniel thinks one has to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
Daniel admits he is not that thrifty. He enjoys material things, but at the same time, “you have to balance it”. He said one does not have to be selfish.
‘Para andiyan yung pamilya mo. Kung may sobra, eh di rock and roll.’
[So your family should be there. If there’s a surplus, then it’s rock and roll.]
Hats off to Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo‘s moms for giving proper financial guidance to their kids!
