I noticed there was a blank wall at mcdonald’s so I decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend. It’s now been 51 days since I hung it up.
Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo made a huge fake McDonald’s poster (ad) and hung it up at McDonald’s Pearland, Texas. The prank went viral in 24 hours. The poster stayed up there for two months.
Jevh and Christian often go to McDonald’s and sit in front of the wall in question. They felt like the blank wall was inviting them to put something up there.
They decided to represent the Asian community after looking around and not seeing Asians on the posters with other ethnicities having fun.
Jevh and Christian made an elaborate prank, they really spent for it. They even bought a McDonald’s uniform complete with fake badge saying “Jeff Bergara, Regional Interior Coordinator”, a tie and a walkie talkie.
At the end of the Ellen interview, Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo were surprised when Ellen told them that McDonald’s will use them in a marketing campaign. They were even more shocked when each of them was handed USD 25,000 check for the said McDonald’s gig.
