Knowing that the American fantasy drama TV series Game of Thrones season 8 is the final season, fans are all speculating as to how the show will end.
Game of Thrones season 8 is rumored to be released in the first half of 2019.
Producers at HBO was very strict during the filming of Game of Thrones season 8 to avoid the episodes getting leaked online like what happened back in 2017 to Game of Thrones season 7.
The level of paranoia that HBO has is justified because if Game of Thrones season 8 gets stolen and leaked online, that would only mean thousands of cancelled HBO subscriptions. That wouldn’t be good for their business.
According to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays the role of Jaime Lannister, HBO’s fight against getting hacked is to distribute GOT scripts digitally.
Scripts are immediately deleted right after the scenes of the actors.
They’re very, very strict. It’s reached a crazy level this year. We actually get the scripts, and then when we’ve shot the scene — and we only have it digitally — and then when you’ve done the scene, it just vanishes. It’s like Mission: Impossible. ‘This will self-destruct.’
I also know that we end in the right way, and the show ends on its own terms. When I read the scripts for the last season, I was like, ‘Wow, they really pulled it off.’ It’s one story from Season 1 to [now], and it makes sense.
Although HBO is very strict with the season 8 scripts, some Game of Thrones stars like Sophie Turner who portrays Sansa Stark and Maisie Williams who portrays Sansa’s younger sister, Arya Stark, still managed to share some hints as to what the viewers can expect on Game of Thrones season 8 (final season).
But only hints that won’t get them in trouble.
I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people. Everyone is coming together to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.
It’s Game of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before.
As to what GOT fans can expect from Sansa Stark in the Game of Thrones season 8, Sophie Turner revealed:
I always saw something of a warrior in Sansa that I don’t think other people really saw. I always had the feeling that she was learning and adapting, and at some point or another, it was going to manifest itself somehow, and she manifested it into being a warrior.
It felt really satisfying when it happened, and I’m really happy where this storyline for her has ended up.” Next year can’t come soon enough.
Maisie Williams, who was cast as Arya in GOT when she was only 12 years old, says goodbye to Game of Thrones with bloody Instagram photo. A hint also on the ending of the final season. It’s really going to be a bloody one.
Goodbye Belfast. Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Rhrones. What a joy I’ve had. Here’s to the adventures to come. #lastwomanstanding [last woman standing] #barely [barely] #immasleepforthenextfouryears [imma sleep for the next four years] #justkiddingidontsleep [just kidding I dont sleep]
