It had been rumored that the King of Pop Michael Jackson (aged 50) voiced a character named Leon Kompowsky, a mental health patient, on the American animated sitcom The Simpsons (Season 3).
The episode in question is titled Stark Raving Dad and was aired on September 19, 1991 and was the first episode of the season 3. It was the one where Homer Simpson is committed to a rest home and rooms with a man who believes himself to be Michael Jackson. [ref]
Leon Kompowsky was in the same room Homer Simpson was thrown in for wearing a pink shirt.
The voice of Leon Kompowsky sounds so much like Michael Jackson that for years, many believed it was really Michael’s.
But it only remained a speculation since Michael Jackson’s name wasn’t on the credits. In fact, on The Simpsons credits, the voice of Leon Kompowsky was by a John Jay Smith.

Just recently, The Simpsons creator (and Futurama, too) Matt Groening revealed, after 27 years, that yes, Michael Jackson was the voice of Leon Kompowsky.
Matt Groening confirmed what has long been speculated by fans, in an interview with Australia TV series, The Weekly.
[Michael Jackson] has the voice of someone doing a Michael Jackson bit. He did the show, he didn’t want credit for it. It was some kind of deal with his record company or whatever.
There was a part where Leon Kompowsky will sing Michael Jackson’s 1983 song, Billie Jean. To not get into any trouble, the show hired a singer who could imitate Michael Jackson’s singing voice.
So when it came time to sing the songs, he had a soundalike singer. And he stood there and watched the guy who was so nervous, who had to sound like Michael Jackson.
