The famous Changing of Guard [ref] ceremony at Buckingham Palace surprised the visitors who went there to see them perform.

Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of England, has paid tribute to the Queen of Soul, the late American singer-songwriter and pianist, Aretha Franklin, who died of pacreatic cancer at age 76 on August 16, 2018.

Aretha Franklin’s funeral service was held on August 31, 2018 in which Ariana Grande was one of the big stars who paid tribute to her.

The Band of the Welsh Guards played Aretha Franklin’s 1967 hit song, ‘Respect‘, in the courtyard of the palace.

The Band of the Welsh Guards are world famous for their musical versatility and professional performance and this morning paid tribute to another musical icon and one that has been of huge influence and inspiration to our musicians — Aretha Franklin, whose funeral was being held in Detroit 3,748 miles away, at the same time of the Queen’s Guard Change.
