The romantic comedy “Exes Baggage” movie starring real-life exes Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino is such a big hit (PHP 300 million and counting) that fans are calling for a sequel.
Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino, who are also collectively known as the love team called “CarGel”, are very much open to the idea of an “Exes Baggage” sequel.
Black Sheep, the ABS-CBN Films subsidiary that produced “Exes Baggage”, also acknowledges the wishes of its moviegoers. That alone bolsters the possibility that an “Exes Baggage” sequel is in the horizon.
CarGel said they have not received any offer for a follow-up of “Exes Baggage”, though, and that means a sequel will have to wait until next year at the earliest.

Our Sheepmates in Hong Kong only want one thing and it’s…
Exes Baggage is now on its 4th week, mga friendship!
Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino revealed in the thanksgiving blog conference for “ExeS Baggage” that they had a meeting with Director Dan Villegas to talk about the “Exes Baggage” ending.
Apparently, it was agreed upon by Angelica, Carlo, and Dan to make the ending open-ended. They thought that’s in keeping with the disposition of the characters (Nix and Pia) they portrayed, not because they wanted a sequel.
But CarGel fans who watched the film saw the ending for what it is – something that presents the possibility that Nix and Pia’s story can easily continue in a sequel.
And considering the successful box office results of “Exes Baggage”, it may only be a matter of time before Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban get an offer for the sequel of “Exes Baggage”.
If the “Exes Baggage” sequel does not materialize however, fans would be content with any movie featuring the resurrected 1990’s love team of CarGel.
“Exes Baggage” is now on its 4th week and still showing in the Philippines and in cinemas overseas.
