The biggest stars in the Philippines visited several cinemas on Christmas Day to thank their respective supporters for watching their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2018 movies.

Actor and producer Coco Martin (age 37) and actress and TV host Maine Mendoza (age 23) made stops in several SM cinema theaters to thank their thousands of fans who watched “Jack Em Popoy: The PulisCredibles” on the first day of MMFF 2018.

Coco Martin visited Trinoma, SM North, SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia with his co-stars Lito Lapid and Mark Lapid. Thousands of screaming fans greeted them inside the said malls.

Maine Mendoza went to several theaters like Coco Martin, and even came back the next day to attend block screenings sponsored by her fan clubs.

Actor and TV host Vice Ganda (age 42) did the same for viewers of “Fantastica”. He was with co-stars Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Donny Pangilinan, Dingdong Dantes and Richard Gutierrez for the premiere screening of the movie at the SM Mall of Asia cinemas.

Dingdong Dantes came with his wife, actress and TV host Marian Rivera, while Richard Gutierrez toured the cinemas with his wife Sarah Lahbati and son Zion Gutierrez, and his siblings Raymond and Ruffa Gutierrez.

First Day Gross of MMFF films

The first day gross earnings of MMFF entries are not out yet, but judging from the videos and photos shared online, the top grosser might be a close fight between “Jack Em Popoy: The PulisCredibles” and “Fantastica”.

“Jack Em Popoy: The PulisCredibles”, which is top billed by Coco Martin, Vic Sotto, and Maine Mendoza is graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).

“Fantastica”, which stars Vice Ganda, Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez, Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Donny Pangilinan and Kisses Delavin is graded B by the CEB.

Horror film “Aurora”, which stars Anne Curtis, is estimated by some as most likely to take third place in terms of gross earnings. “Aurora” is also graded B by the CEB.
