The mythology-based action adventure video game “God of War” by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) won the coveted ‘Game of The Year’ award at The Game Awards 2018 held at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles on December 6, 2018.

The “God of War” also won for Best Game Direction and Best Action/Adventure Game.

Rockstar Games’ “Red Dead Redemption 2” won 4 awards: Best Narrative, Best Score/Music, Best Audio Design, and Best Performance.

The Game Awards is an annual awards ceremony which honors achievements in the video game industry. It is now on its 5th Year and for 2018, it gave out a total of 30 awards.

Winners are determined by a combination of votes from 65 industry experts and representatives coming from influential video game news organizations and from gamers who cast their votes on different online platforms.
