The movie follows the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she studies at Harvard Law School and enter a legal career against the sexism prevalent during her times. She teams up with her husband, Marty, to argue the (1972) case Moritz v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue pro bono before the U.S. Court of Appeals. The landmark case sets the stage to overturn over a century of sex discrimination.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s struggles for equal rights is just one facet of her sterling career, which ultimately leads to her appointment as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice by President Bill Clinton.
