The ‘Fast & Furious 9’ (Fast 9) movie has once again been delayed, but this time, by just a month.
‘Fast & Furious 9’ is the ninth installment of the film series, but tenth if we include the spin-off, ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’. It has been reported that the new release date of the ‘Fast & Furious 9’ has been moved from April 10, 2020 to May 22, 2020.
It’s also interesting to note that ‘Fast & Furious 9’ will be right up against other big blockbusters like ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ by Warner Bros., and ‘SpongeBob SquarePants 3’ by Nickelodeon and Paramount.
It was first announced that the release date of ‘Fast & Furious 9’ was in April 2019, but that’s not happening anymore.
In the upcoming ‘Fast & Furious 9’, Jordana Brewster is back playing the role of Mia Toretto, the sister of Vin Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto. The last time the character Mia Toretto was seen was when she got married with the character Brian O’Conner, who was played by the late Paul Walker. It’s intriguing why Mia Toretto is back in the story.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) will not be part of ‘Fast & Furious 9’. But he is part of the Fast & Furious spin-off, ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, which also stars Jason Statham. The said spin-off has a release date of August 2, 2019.
