Laci Kaye Booth (age 23), a college student from Texas, had a dream duet with country pop singer and songwriter Brett Young (age 38) during the American Idol 2019 Top 20 All-Star Duets round.
The young American Idol contender couldn’t help but fangirl over the 6 foot 6 country singer who she described as a great vocalist and songwriter.
Brett and Laci Kaye performed “Mercy”, one of Brett Young’s most popular songs, in front of a live audience and American Idol judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry.
Laci Kaye Booth made it through the Top 14 contestants of American Idol. She joined Ashley Hess, Walker Burroughs, Madison VanDenburg, Uche, Riley Thompson, and Laine Hardy, who were also picked by the judges as part of the first half of the Top 14. The second half of the Top 14 will be named on Monday, April 8, 2019.
