Laine Hardy (age 18) of Louisiana continues to deliver with his stylish performances. During the Top 14 round of American Idol 2019 (Season 17), Laine Hardy sang “That’s All Right” by Elvis Presley.
“That’s All Right” is a song written and originally performed by blues singer Arthur Crudup, but it is best known as the debut single recorded and released by Elvis Presley in 1954.
American Idol judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were all praises for Laine Hardy’s performance, but they all advised Hardy to loosen up more and as Lionel Richie said, “Just do it some more.”

Judges Comments:
Katy Perry
Oh my gosh Laine, you know your strengths and you’re playing them well. It’s so exciting to see you grow, it’s so exciting to see a good looking man step into his shining personality. I love this bayou boy. And your mom can’t believe it. She’s a little bit ashamed, scared, shocked, and in love.
Luke Bryan
So Laine, continue to shake out. Get a little looser like I want to see you let go like Elvis does. But listen, I don’t want to critique you too bad ’cause you’re learning this new thing, but man your voice has come so far from last year. I mean just your delivery and your confidence. Just them was unbelievable. Good job.
Lionel Richie
You know watching you all Laine out there, I’ll tell you boy, you on fire, you on fire buddy. But I wanna say, nothing, just do it some more.
