The contemporary acrobatic dance duo known as Power Duo from the Philippines gave a jaw-dropping performance that impressed both the audience and the judges.
Power Duo, composed of real-life couple Anjanette and Gervin danced to the song “Come What May” by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor from the movie Moulin Rouge.
With their usual daring yet graceful moves, the dance duo showed the stuff that made them worthy of the grand finals slot of Asia’s Got Talent.
At the end of their performance, the judges and the audience gave them a standing ovation. Anggun clutched her abdomen and then touched her heart, reacting strongly to the grand finals performance of Power Duo.
Asked by the host Justin Bratton if their love also grows with each performance that continues to reach new heights, Gervin replied that since they are always together, his love for his partner grows deeper and deeper. He said that whatever happens, he will catch her because he loves her so much.
Prior to joining the competition, Power Duo was voted as the grand winner in the fifth season of Pilipinas Got Talent (2016), a Filipino reality talent show based on the British TV “Got Talent” franchise.
Power Duo (Philippines) Grand Final | Asia’s Got Talent 2019
Oh my God! Why did you do that to my heart. I was so scared. Oh, Power Duo, you’re definitely one of our strongest performers on Asia’s Got Talent.
But you know, that performance was solid, was beautiful, graceful, sometimes poetic. There’s no denying your love for each other.
And that last bit, my God! I mean, you know, you have to really trust each other. And that is when your love comes in handy, I guess. But what a performance. What a performance!
I said it in the semi-finals. That they belong in the finals. And here they are, on the grand finals stage and this is exactly where they belong.
And I’m telling you again, for 4 minutes I just went to no place except where they were. I didn’t feel anything except what they were feeling. It was an amazing, amazing, experience.
Come, come jump into my arms! (David jokingly told Anjanette after she said Thank you.)
What you guys did was very dangerous, to be honest. But you guys made it looks so effortless, so beautiful. And I think that ending might win you Asia’s Got Talent.
