FaZe Shutting Down: The pro player of FaZe Clan on Fortnite named H1ghSky1 (aka Patrick, who has already played in professional Fortnite competitions/tournaments and has earned prize money) is reportedly not age eligible for the said competitions.

H1ghSky1 is only 12 years old. He’s 1 year younger than what’s required to compete and to stream which is 13 years old. The FaZe Clan declared that H1ghSky1 was 13 years old.

That makes H1ghSky1 too young to compete in official Fortnite competitions. Not only that, but he is also too young to stream on the popular streaming service, Twitch.

All of this started when star player Turner Tenney (aka Tfue) filed a lawsuit against FaZe Clan. The lawsuit focused on Tfue’s issues with FaZe’s contract. At the same time, the issue about FaZe signing an 11-year-old player was included. Tfue claims that FaZe Clan pressured the minor player H1ghSky1 and his family to lie about H1ghSky1’s age.

H1ghSky1’s mother reportedly shared on two posts on social media on April 2012 about H1ghSky1 turning 5 years old around that date. So that means H1ghSky1 was only 11 years old when FaZe Clan signed him on March 22, 2019. Then come April 2019, H1ghSky1 is 12 years old.

H1ghSky1 being below the age limit could have serious effects for FaZe Clan. H1ghSky1’s Twitch channel might be shut down and he would be forbidden to join future professional Fortntie competitions.

H1ghSky1 might also be unable to produce content on Fortnite for FaZe and he could have his FaZe contract terminated.

Aside from H1ghSky1’s dilemmas, FaZe could face serious legal implications for signing an 11-year-old H1ghSky1.

H1ghSky1 is not playing the Fortnite World Cup Open Qualifiers because he’s not 13 years old yet.

Most likely that Fortnite developer, Epic, would require some documents from H1ghSky1 to prove his age to be qualified for the World Cup Finals.
