English singer and songwriter Zayn Malik (age 26), aka “Zayn”, and American singer and songwriter Zhavia Ward (age 18) sing the newest version of “A Whole New World”, from the soundtrack of “Aladdin” (2019 movie).
“A Whole New World” was originally recorded by singers Brad Kane and Lea Salonga as the singing voices of Aladdin and Jasmine in Disney’s 1992 animated feature film “Aladdin”. A single version of the “A Whole New World” performed by American recording artists Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle was played over the film’s end credits and is referred on the 1992 soundtrack as “Aladdin’s Theme”.
“Aladdin” is an upcoming American musical fantasy film directed by Guy Ritchie (“Sherlock Holmes,” “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”), and co-written with John August and will be in theaters on May 24, 2019. It is a live action remake of Disney’s 1992 animated film of the same name which was based on the folktale from “One Thousand and One Nights.”
The film stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari and Navid Negahban.
