Roky Erickson death: Roky Erickson, the lead vocalist of the psychedelic band called the 13th Floor Elevators, died on May 31, 2019 at 71 years old.
13th Floor Elevators disbanded because of Roky Erickson’s drug habits and mental illness. Roky Erickson then continued in the music business as a solo singer.
He released classic singles and albums like “Roky Erickson and the Aliens”, “Red Temple Prayer (Two Headed Dog)”, “Bermuda”, “Don’t Slander Me”, “The Interpreter”, “Starry Eyes”.
Roky Erickson’s battle with mental illness was documented in a documentary titled “You’re Gonna Miss Me” in 2007. Check out the trailer below.
