Avengers: Endgame” (Avengers 4) finally surpassed “Avatar” at the box office and has now become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

The MCU megahit achieved this monumental feat on its 13th weekend in theaters after its debut back in April 26, 2019.

Avengers: Endgame has earned USD 2,790,216,193 so far, while Avatar earned a total of USD 2,789,700,000 during its entire run. That means Avengers is up by just a little over half a million USD at the moment.

But “Avengers: Endgame” is the number 1 box office movie of all time in real USD figures.

In terms of the list of highest grossing films adjusted for inflation, “Avengers: Endgame” lags way behind “Avatar” which is at Number 2, with USD 3.273 billion.

The 1939 epic historical romance “Gone With The Wind” (1939) is still number one with $3.728 billion worldwide. Avengers: Endgame is still currently at Number 5, behind Titanic (USD 3.099 billion) and “Star Wars” (USD 3.061 billion), when earnings are adjusted for ticket price inflation.

“Avengers: Endgame” was re-released in 1,040 theaters on June 28 in the United States with an additional 7 minutes of post-credits footage plus a tribute to Stan Lee and an unfinished deleted scene.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, “Avengers: Endgame” stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin.
