Still mourning the death of his wife, Bruno (Aden Young) is hopelessly attached to the seaside cottage they built together. When he’s evicted by his in-laws, Bruno vows to get it back at any price. Desperate to escape the gracious but neurotic hosting of his parents (Beau Bridges and Jacki Weaver), he sets a risky plan in motion to recover his home. Posing as a handyman for the cottage’s intriguing new tenant (Parker Posey) turns his life – and his intentions – upside down.

Elsewhere is both written and directed by Costa Rican filmmaker Hernan Jimenez (“A Ojos Cerrados”, “The Return”, “About Us”). This indie dramedy is produced by Chris Cole and J. Todd Harris and initially premiered at the Napa Valley Film Festival in November 2019.

Aden Young (age 48) is a Canadian-Australian actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his portrayal of Daniel Holden in the SundanceTV drama “Rectify”, for which he was twice nominated for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Young was cast in his first role, as a young Jesuit priest in Bruce Beresford’s acclaimed religious epic “Black Robe” (1991) when he was just 18. International recognition followed and Young was dubbed “the next Marlon Brando” in France and “the next Mel Gibson” in Hollywood. But Young returned to Australia to support the local industry and focus on projects that he was more drawn to.

Young’s notable films include Broken Highway (1993), Metal Skin (1994), Cousin Bette (1998), and Don’t Tell (2017).

Playing the love interest of Aden Young’s “Elsewhere” character Bruno is Parker Posey (age 51), an American actress and musician. She frequently works with Christopher Guest and has appeared in several of his mockumentaries, such as Waiting for Guffman (1996), Best in Show (2000), A Mighty Wind (2003), For Your Consideration (2006), and Mascots (2016). Posey is the recipient of a Golden Globe Award nomination, a Satellite Award nomination and two Independent Spirit Award nominations.

Posey made her film debut in Joey Breaker (1993) and was labeled “Queen of the Indies” for starring in a succession of independent films throughout the 1990s, such as Sleep with Me (1994), Party Girl, The Doom Generation, Kicking and Screaming (all 1995), The Daytrippers (1996), The House of Yes and Clockwatchers (both 1997). Her other notable film appearances include You’ve Got Mail (1998), Scream 3 (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Personal Velocity, The Sweetest Thing (both 2002), Blade: Trinity (2004), Superman Returns, Fay Grim (both 2006), Broken English (2007), The Eye (2008), Spring Breakdown (2009), Irrational Man (2015), and Café Society (2016). She has also starred in the TV movie Hell on Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay (2002) and has guest-starred on numerous series. Since 2018 she has starred as June Harris on the Netflix series Lost in Space.

Ken Jeong (pronounced Jung) (age 50) plays the role of Bruno’s best friend Felix in Elsewhere. Jeong is an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice artist, and former physician best known for playing Ben Chang on the sitcom Community and the drug lord Leslie Chow in The Hangover film series. He was the lead in the ABC sitcom Dr. Ken, of which he is also the creator and for which he was a writer and executive producer. Jeong is a licensed physician but has stopped practicing in favor of his acting career. He is popular for being a regular panelist on the singing competition show “The Masked Singer”.
