On Week 9 (December 10, 2019) of The Masked Singer (Season 2), “Tree” was unmasked and was eliminated from the competition.
“Tree” performed a cover of “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga during the 2-Night Holiday Semi-Finals of The Masked Singer.
Prior to the revelation of her true identity, several clues were given as to who she really is.
So who is the “Tree” on The Masked Singer Season 2?
As it turns out, “Tree” is none other than Ana Gasteyer (age 52), an American actress, singer, and comedian who is best known as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2002.
Ana Gasteyer described her journey on The Masked Singer as a “completely surreal experience” but said she didn’t like being anonymous because she’s an ensemble performer, a connector, and likes the “synthesis of performance.” She said it’s interesting to learn to use just her body, but since she’s a verbal person, it felt like she had her tongue cut out.
Gasteyer said she is sad to leave The Masked Singer but she’s ready to do some Christmas shopping.
