Wayne Brady is an American actor, singer, and comedian who is a regular on the American version of the improvisational comedy television series Whose Line Is It Anyway? He was the host of the daytime talk show The Wayne Brady Show, the original host of Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, and has hosted Let’s Make a Deal since its 2009 revival. Brady also performed in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots on Broadway as Simon—who is also drag queen Lola—from November 2015 to March 2016, and as James Stinson on the American TV series How I Met Your Mother. He has won five Emmy Awards for his talk-show activity, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for his rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come.
Chris Daughtry is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He is known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Daughtry and as the fourth-place contestant on the fifth season of American Idol. After Idol, he was given a record deal by RCA Records and formed a band called Daughtry. Their self-titled debut album became the fastest selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history, selling more than one million copies after five weeks of release. The album was recorded before the band was officially formed, making him the only official member present on the album. In its ninth week of release, Daughtry reached number one on the Billboard chart. Chris Daughtry is now the third most successful American Idol contestant in terms of record sales, behind Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who both won their respective seasons. At the 50th Grammy Awards, the band was nominated for Best Rock Song for the single “It’s Not Over”.
Adrienne Bailon is an American singer, actress and talk show host. She is a former member of girl groups such as 3LW and The Cheetah Girls. Since 2014, Houghton is one of the four co-hosts of the daytime talk show The Real. As an actress, Bailon appeared in The Cheetah Girls films, Coach Carter and All You’ve Got. She has guest starred in numerous television series including That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. In 2014, Houghton became the first Latina host of a daytime talk show in the US. She also competed in The Masked Singer in 2019 as “The Flamingo”.
The second season of The Masked Singer premiered on September 25, 2019, following a “special sneak peek” on September 15, 2019. Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger returned as panelists. Nick Cannon returned as host.
Sixteen celebrities compete anonymously in newly created full-bodied costumes including distinctive masks. Before each performance a video package teases clues to their identity with the celebrity narrating aspects of their biography in a disguised voice. After each performs in their own voice, the panel attempts to guess who is the masked singer. The contestants are later voted on to see who is safe and continues, or is up for a further round of singing in that episode, and possibly elimination.
