After learning that Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Alaric (Matt Davis) are in trouble, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) leads the charge to save them. Meanwhile, Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) grabs the chance to keep an eye on the latest monster in town in order to prove himself useful. Elsewhere, MG’s (Quincy Fouse) attempt at a perfect first date with Kym (guest star Ebboney Wilson) takes a bad turn when Hope enlists his help in her plan.

Legacies is an American TV drama series, created by Julie Plec, that premiered on The CW on October 25, 2018. It is a spin-off of The Originals and features characters from both that series and its predecessor, The Vampire Diaries.
The series follows Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, who is descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines. Two years after the events of The Originals, 17-year-old Hope attends the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The school provides a haven where supernatural beings can learn to control their abilities and impulses
American actress Danielle Rose Russell stars as the 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson, continuing the role she originated in the fifth and final season of The Originals. Matt Davis also features prominently in the series, reprising his role as Alaric Saltzman from The Vampire Diaries. In January 2019, The CW renewed the series for a second season which premiered on October 10, 2019.
Russell (age 20) is known for playing supporting roles in films such as A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014), Aloha (2015), Pandemic (2016) and Wonder (2017).
Matt Davis (age 41) is an American actor known for his roles in Legally Blonde and on the ABC comedy-drama What About Brian from 2006 to 2007. On The CW fantasy drama The Vampire Diaries, he starred as Saltzman from 2009 to 2017. He also starred on the short-lived CW mystery and horror drama “Cult” as Jeff Sefton, and had a recurring role on the CBS police drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Sean Yeager.
In the last episode of Season 1 of Legacies, Triad forces occupy the Salvatore school, using a magic-suppressing artifact. Armed with weapons with bullets made of Malivore mud, they searched for the chalice. Commander Burr shoots Josie (Kaylee Bryant), who is dying from the spreading taint. Alaric (Matt Davis) and Dorian (Demetrius Bridges) infiltrate the school through a secret tunnel and disable the artifact, allowing the students to fight back. Josie drinks some of Hope’s blood, healing her. Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) turns into a wolf and stops Burr. Alaric asks the student council to decide his future as headmaster.
Clarke (Nick Fink) takes Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) to a Triad warehouse and says he knew Landon would pocket the real key; an arrowhead. The Headless Horseman arrives and takes him and the key to the Triad Facility. Before he throws the arrowhead into Malivore, Hope arrives, and she and Landon manage to kill the Horseman. Clarke arrives and tosses the arrowhead into the puddle, awakening Malivore. Hope kills Landon, realizing that her Tribrid blood is the key to stopping the golem. She calls Alaric and asks him to burn all references of her. She uses a mimic spell on Clarke, forcing him to jump with her into the puddle. Landon resurrects and finds Malivore gone; all his memories of Hope erased.
