Billy (Taye Diggs) and Grace (Karimah Westbrook) are concerned that Spencer (Daniel Ezra) is going to push himself too hard before he is ready, which could make things worse for Spencer in the long run. Determined to secure their football future, Spencer, Darnell (guest star Abraham D. Juste) and Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) decide to go on a college football visit, but Darnell’s chance might be taken away by someone close to him.
Meanwhile, Asher’s (Cody Christian) teammates and Olivia (Samantha Logan) have been noticing a difference in Asher’s performance and attitude on and off the field, leaving them to wonder why he is pushing himself so hard.
Layla (Greta Onieogou) thinks she knows what she wants to do with her future and needs Coop (Bre-Z) to do it.

All American is an American sports drama TV series, created by April Blair that premiered on The CW on October 10, 2018. In April 2019, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 7, 2019.
The series is inspired by the life of professional American football player Spencer Paysinger with Daniel Ezra in the lead role.
All American follows the life of Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), a star wide receiver at Crenshaw High School who transfers to Beverly Hills High to play American football, but is switched to playing Cornerback, and also covers as a kickoff returner and running back. Because of his transfer, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds—Crenshaw and Beverly Hills—begin to collide. Spencer long believed that his father was a linebacker coach for Eastern Nevada. After trying to drive Tyrone’s gang out of Crenshaw, he was the only player given a standing ovation by the South Crenshaw crowd, despite playing for Beverly Hills High, their much more affluent cross-town rival.
Actor Daniel Ezra became known for his role in the series All American. But before that, he appeared in the crime series Prey (2014), the comedy National Theatre Live: Twelfth Night (2017), and the British series A Discovery of Witches (2018).
American rapper and actress Bre-Z plays the role of Tamia “Coop” Cooper, Spencer’s lesbian friend from Crenshaw High. Bre-Z is was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and portrayed Freda Gatz in the second season of Empire, garnering her first acting role. She has a starring role in the upcoming movie 16 Bars which will be released in the USA on May 1, 2020.
Greta Onieogou (age 28) portrays Layla Keating, a student at Beverly High who also shows an interest in Spencer. Onieogou was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and is of Russian/Nigerian descent. She is known for Fever Pitch (2005), Miss Sloane (2016) and Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters (2015).
American actress Samantha Logan plays Olivia Baker, Billy’s daughter who develops an interest in Spencer, but later becomes Chris’s love interest. Logan is best known for her role as Nona Clark in the ABC drama series 666 Park Avenue. She was later cast in ABC’s soap General Hospital. In 2014 she joined the cast of Teen Wolf Season 4 and The Fosters. She appeared as a guest star on the 300th episode of NCIS.
