Lucia (Emily Tosta) continues to try and impress activism mentor Sully (Elizabeth Grullon). Natalia (Sol Rodríguez) shares Val’s (Elle Paris Legaspi) secret with Emilio (Brandon Larracuente) and, as a result, Val tries to reconnect with her parents. Meanwhile, Beto (Niko Guardado) encourages Ella (Audrey Gerthoffer) to move in with her mother and discovers a secret from Ella’s past.

Party of Five is an American teen and family drama TV series created for Freeform by Amy Lippman and Christopher Keyser, based on the 1994 Fox series of the same name. Lippman and Keyser started developing a reboot of their TV series in September 2017. The series received a put pilot commitment in January 2018, with a pilot ordered in the same month and officially ordered by Freeform in February 2019. Filming took place in Santa Clarita, California.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, with Lippman, Keyser, and Rodrigo García serving as executive producers, Party of Five premiered on January 8, 2020. Its first season will consist of 10 episodes.

The series stars Brandon Larracuente, Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado, and Elle Paris Legaspi as four of the five Acosta children who must navigate daily struggles after their parents are deported back to Mexico. Until they find a way to get their parents back in the country, these five kids will have to find a way to make it on their own.

In October 2018, American actor Brandon Larracuente (age 25) was cast as Emilio Acosta, an aspiring musician and the eldest sibling of the family. His character is based on Charlie Salinger, from the original Party of Five 1994 series. Larracuente is known for his roles in Bloodline and 13 Reasons Why. He began acting at the age of 8, where he starred in an Off Broadway show called “Desire”. He starred in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

Niko Guardado (age 23) stars as Beto Acosta, the second oldest brother of the family and whose character is based on Bailey Salinger. Guardado was a recurring guest star on ABC’s hit The Goldbergs since 2016. His major breakthrough came with a 2013 guest spot on Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat. Since then, he appeared on popular programs such as “The Fosters”, “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,” and the mini-series “Lost in the West” before joining the cast of The Goldbergs.

Emily Tosta (age 21) plays the role of Lucia Acosta, a straight-A student and Beto’s twin sibling, based on the character of Julia Salinger. Tosta was born in Dominican Republic to Venezuelan mom, Emilia Tosta, and Dominican dad, Jose Ramon Attias. She began her acting career at the age of eight, with a lead role in the musical ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin.’ Since then she landed roles in several musicals including Annie: The Musical, The Miracle of Fatima, Alice in Wonderland, Cats, Like in Broadway, and A Christmas Adventure in Broadway, to name a few. She appeared in several Latin TV shows and moved to Florida when she was 12, then to California when she was 16. Her TV credits include appearances in The Last Ship, Rosewood, NCIS: Los Angeles, and others. She also appeared on the films “Vikes” and “Selfie Dad”.

Elle Paris Legaspi portrays Valentina Acosta, the precocious and resourceful youngest sister of the brood. Her character is based on Claudia Salinger. Legaspi has been acting professionally since 2017. Aside from acting, Legaspi’s passion is dance. She has performed at “World of Dance”, “Harlem Globe Trotters Half Time Show”, “The Ark” in Las Vegas, Culture Shock’s “The Nutcracker” and a lot more.
