Siblings Mimi (Nita-Josee Hanna) and Luke (Owen Myre) unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord (Matthew Ninaber). Using a magical amulet, they force the monster to obey their childish whims, and accidentally attract a rogues’ gallery of intergalactic assassins to their small-town suburbia.

Psycho Goreman is produced by Stuart F. Andrews, Shannon Hanmer and Peter Kuplowsky. This was supposed to premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 6, 2020 but the festival was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the digital version of the SXSW 2020 film competition is expected to take place from March 13 to 21, with awards handed out on March 24, 2020.
Nita-Josee Hanna plays the role of Mimi in Psycho Goreman. Hanna is a 12-year-old, multi-talented artist who won best monologue, best commercial, best kid’s casting, best dancer, 1st place in singing and child actor of the year at the Canadian Model and Talent Convention in Toronto in 2018. In the same year, she has recorded a CD in New York with the Broadway Star project, and has done a Broadway musical with the Broadway Star project.
Playing the role of Luke is Owen Myre, who started acting in 2017 and has since been featured in many music videos, short films, commercials, indie films and TV series. His acting credits include NOS4A2 (2019), Alternate Ground (2020), Reflections (2019), They Don’t Know (2018), Born in Darkness (2018), Hemiola (2018), Checkmate (2018), Safe in the Moonlight (2018) When the Music Stops (2018), and Welcome Home (2018). Owen is also a baseball player and a 2 time National title winning hip hop dancer. Myre has written his own script for a feature length “coming of age” film titled “14”. Filming has begun and this is expected to be released in 2020.
