Hollywood is an American drama web TV miniseries created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, who were also executive producers of the series alongside Darren Criss, David Corenswet, Janet Mock, and Alexis Martin Woodall.
It was announced on February 23, 2019 that Netflix had given the production a straight-to-series order. On September 3, 2019, it was reported that Patti LuPone, Holland Taylor, Darren Criss, Jeremy Pope, Dylan McDermott, Jim Parsons, David Corenswet and Joe Mantello had joined the cast.
American actor David Corenswet (age 27) plays the role of Jack Castelo in the series. Corenswet is best known for his role as River Barkley in the Netflix series The Politician, which was also created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, along with Brad Falchuk.
Darren Criss (age 33) portrays Raymond Ainsley in Hollywood. Criss is best known for playing the leading role in the limited series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, for which he received Emmy and Golden Globe acting awards.
