Tommy (Edie Falco) is accused of professional impropriety when her relationship with sports agent Kiley Mills (Katrina Lenk) intersects with the LAPD’s arrest of a local sports phenom found possessing an illegal firearm. Also, Blake’s (Adelaide Clemens) search into the disappearance of a reporter who asked her for a favor uncovers a connection to the city medical examiner’s office.

In February 2019, it was reported that Edie Falco, Michael Chernus, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, and Adelaide Clemens were cast in the pilot’s lead roles. In March, it was announced that Joseph Lyle Taylor and David Fierro joined the cast in starring roles. On May 10, 2019, it was announced that the production had been given a series order. The series premiered on February 6, 2020.
On June 7, 2019, it was reported that Fierro, who was originally cast to play the male lead opposite of Falco in the series, had exited and his role would be recast. On August 5, 2019, Thomas Sadoski was cast as Buddy, replacing Fierro. On August 23, 2019, Vladimir Caamaño joined the cast as a series regular. On May 15, 2019, CBS released the first official trailer for the series.
Edie Falco is an American actress, best known for her roles as Diane Whittlesey in the HBO series Oz (1997-2000) and Carmela Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos (1999-2007). For the latter, she received six Emmy nominations, winning three for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, as well as winning two Golden Globes and five Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Falco portrayed Nurse Jackie Peyton on the Showtime series Nurse Jackie (2009-2015), earning a further six Emmy nominations and winning once for an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy. In 2017, she portrayed defense attorney Leslie Abramson in the first season of the true crime anthology series Law & Order True Crime, for which she garnered her 14th Emmy nomination, this time for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.
Falco’s film work includes lead roles in Laws of Gravity (1992), for which she was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead and Judy Berlin (1999), and supporting roles in films including Sunshine State (2002), Freedomland (2006), and The Comedian (2016). For her role in the 2011 Broadway revival of The House of Blue Leaves, she earned a nomination for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
