Josh Baulf (age 29), a stand-up comedian, brought mega laughs on stage during the Auditions round on Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14).
Prior to his BGT audition, Josh Baulf had performed at some of Britain’s top clubs, namely Glee Club, The Comedy Store, and Backyard. He was the winner of Get Up Stand-Up 2018 and The Comedy Store’s King Gong. He was also a finalist at the Amused Moose New Comic and was on the shortlist for the BBC New Comedy Award.
Baulf’s hilarious routine impressed the BGT judges and the audience. He got four YES votes from the judges and advanced to the next round of the competition.

Britain’s Got Talent (aka BGT) is a televised British talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. It is hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (also known as Ant and Dec), and produced by both Thames (formerly Talkback Thames) and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and broadcast on ITV every year. The show premiered on June 9, 2007 following the success of America’s Got Talent the previous year.
Every year, contestants of any age can audition for the contest with whatever talent they wish to demonstrate. Auditionees seek to impress a panel of judges – at present, consisting of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams – in order to secure a place in the live rounds of BGT. The winner gets a cash prize and a place within that year’s performances for the Royal Variety Performance before members of the British Royal Family.
Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14) will air in two parts, the first in April 2020 with pre-recorded audition episodes, while the second containing the live rounds to be aired at a later date. The series was split into two parts because of the Covid-19 pandemic or coronavirus outbreak and the resulting lockdown issued by the British government.
