Megan Danielle (age 17) from Douglasville, Georgia performs Demi Lovato‘s “Anyone” during the Live Top 17 Performances on The Voice 2020 (Season 18).

Nick Jonas said the performance showed how gifted Megan is as a vocalist. He said she made the world listen and she’s amazing.

Coach Kelly Clarkson said she has loved Megan since the Blinds. She thinks Megan is literally so special – her tone, and how she can float to different genres. Kelly said she’d be shocked if Megan wouldn’t be in the finale because she is so incredibly talented.

Kelly picked Megan Danielle as one of the Top 9 semi-finalists. Coach Kelly would be going into the semi-finals on May 11 with two contenders, Micah Iverson (Pablic’s vote) and Megan (Kelly’s choice).

Anyone” is Demi Lovato’s first number one on the Digital Songs chart. The song debuted at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and will air Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production has done some adjustments. For the first time ever, there will be only three weeks of Live Shows: the Playoffs, the Semi-Final, and the Finale. That’s a big drop compared to six weeks of Live Shows in Season 17.

The three weeks of live shows will also air as lives done at each contestant’s and coach’s home.

As to the voting system, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and artists who receive the fewest votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save”. America will then save their favorite performer by voting on “The Voice” app (available on iOS and Android) or NBC.com. The artists with the fewest number of votes will be “sent home” or eliminated each week.
