Todd Tilghman (age 41) a pastor from Meridian, Mississippi, performed Peter Cetera’s “Glory of Love” during the Live Top 17 Performances on The Voice 2020 (Season 18).
Coach Blake Shelton said Todd is literally the Karate Kid. He encouraged America to vote for Todd, whose performance Blake describes as incredible. Blake said Todd is one of the favorite artists he has ever worked with and thinks he deserves to go all the way in the competition.
It seems America listened since Todd was voted by the public to be one of the Top 9 of The Voice 2020. Todd will perform in the semi-finals on Monday, May 11 along with 8 other contenders.

Todd Tilghman Sings Peter Cetera’s “Glory of Love” – The Voice Live Top 17 Performances 2020
“Glory of Love” is a 1986 song by Peter Cetera featured in the 1986 film The Karate Kid Part II. It was his first hit single after he left the band Chicago. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and also on the U.S. adult contemporary chart. It was included on his 1986 album, Solitude/Solitaire.
Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and will air Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production has done some adjustments. For the first time ever, there will be only three weeks of Live Shows: the Playoffs, the Semi-Final, and the Finale. That’s a big drop compared to six weeks of Live Shows in Season 17.
The three weeks of live shows will also air as lives done at each contestant’s and coach’s home.
As to the voting system, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and artists who receive the fewest votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save”. America will then save their favorite performer by voting on “The Voice” app (available on iOS and Android) or NBC.com. The artists with the fewest number of votes will be “sent home” or eliminated each week.
