Black Water: Abyss is directed by Australian filmmaker Andrew Traucki, who also helmed the first Black Water film released in 2007, which was inspired by the true story of a crocodile attack in Australia’s Northern Territory in December 2003. The “Black Water: Abyss” is a sequel to Traucki’s 2007 film. Its screenplay is written by Ian John Ridley and Sarah Smith.
