Judges’ Comments:

Jennifer Lopez said she had goosies from head to toe only after the performance because she was in shock. “I thought you were going to kill her.” Jennifer was referring to an incredible move by Jake. “Those are the things that when you come out here that make you a winner or not a winner. That’s what makes you a champion or not a champion. You were one. You were intertwined, and not just physically, but emotionally.” She concluded by saying that it’s the best one she had seen among all the semifinal performances so far.

Derek Hough said Jake and Chau have been consistent throughout the competition. He said their expectations are high but the pair did something exceptional with their performance. He noted that the performance had just the right amount of danger, but it was fluid, with one trick moving into the next effortlessly. Derek said the song choice, execution and choreography were all fantastic.

Ne-Yo said, “that felt like love.” He noted the level of trust that Jake and Chau have for each other. “That is beautiful to watch and it’s almost perfect every single time.”
