Robin’s Wish tells the powerful true story of actor and comedian Robin Williams‘ final days. For the first time, Robin’s fight against a deadly neurodegenerative disorder, known as Lewy Body Dementia, is shown in detail. This incredible story sheds an entirely new light on the tragedy, beauty and power behind the mind of one of the greatest entertainers of all time. The film is a profile of Robin’s final days in 2014 and his struggle at the end of his life.
This intimate portrait of Robin Williams and his invulnerable spirit is directed by American documentary filmmaker Tylor Norwood. According to Norwood, it was Robin’s wife, Susan Schneider-Williams who reached out to him about making a science documentary about a neurological disease called Lewy Body Dementia, which he never heard of before.

Robin Williams was an American actor and comedian, who is considered by critics as one of the best comedians of all time. He rose to fame for playing the alien Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy. His film credits include The World According to Garp (1982), Moscow on the Hudson (1984), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Dead Poets Society (1989), Awakenings (1990), The Fisher King (1991), Patch Adams (1998). He also starred in several blockbusters including Hook (1991), Aladdin (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), The Birdcage (1996), Good Will Hunting (1997), and the Night at the Museum trilogy (2006-2014).
Williams was nominated for four Academy Awards, and won Best Supporting Actor for Good Will Hunting. He also received two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and five Grammy Awards.
In August 2014, Robin Williams died by suicide at age 63, at his home in Paradise Cay, California. His widow, Susan Schneider Williams – as well as medical experts and the autopsy – attributed his death to his struggle with Lewy Body Dementia disease.
