A terminally ill father is asked by his 3-year-old son, “Where do we go when we die?” In his answer, the father goes on an epic journey with the boy through fantastic lands full of mythical creatures. Told through the eyes of both the father (Mark Webber) and also his young son (Bodhi Palmer), the story moves seamlessly between the world as we know it and a shared fantasy, exploring the laughter and pain, fear and wonder that people experience as they confront and cope with death.
The Place of No Words is a fantasy film written, directed and co-produced by American actor and filmmaker Mark Webber (Explicit Ills, The End of Love, The Ever After, Flesh and Blood). It is the third film in the “Reality Cinema” series. The film stars Mark Webber himself and his wife, Teresa Palmer in leading roles. Their son Bodhi makes his acting debut as their son in The Place of No Words.

The Place of No Words is produced by Dustin Hughes, Teresa Palmer, and Mark Webber. It had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 27, 2019, where it received a nomination in the US Narrative Competition. The film was also shown at the Munich Film Festival in the CineMasters competition and was nominated for the ARRI / OSRAM Award. At the Philadelphia Film Festival 2019, it received a nomination for the Pinkenson Award (Mark Webber).
