9-1-1 is an American procedural television series created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series premiered on January 3, 2018. 9-1-1 has been renewed through the sixth season which premiered on September 19, 2022 on FOX. In May 2023, the series was canceled by Fox and was renewed for a seventh season at ABC.
The series follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders: police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and dispatchers. It explores their high-pressure experiences as they are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives.
