The Man from Rome (Spanish: La piel del tambor) is a crime mystery thriller film directed by Sergio Dow (Imágenes del Pacífico, La otra imagen de Colombia, Rambao, On Wheels, Botero, El dia que me quieras, Bahia Mansa, Hemingway the Hunter of Death). The screenplay is written by Dow, in collaboration with Adrian Bol, Gretchen Cowan, Carolina López-Rodriguez, Sheila Willis, and Luis Zelkowicz, with Beth Bollinger as story consultant and Judith Gwilt Yturriago as executive story editor. It is based on the 1995 novel La piel del tambor by Arturo Pérez Reverte. The Man from Rome premiered in Spain on October 21, 2022. It was released in the USA on June 30, 2023 on VOD by Screen Media Films.
