American singer-songwriter, actress and filmmaker Barbra Streisand (age 76) is James Corden’s (age 40) latest “Carpool Karaoke” guest on “The Late Late Show with James Corden”.

Unlike other “Carpool Karaoke”, it’s Barbra Streisand who picks up James in her car.

Barbra and James sang “No More Tears (Enough is Enough)”, “The Way We Were”, “Imagine”, “What a Wonderful World”, “Don’t Lie to Me”, and “Don’t Rain on My Parade”.

The legendary singer also uttered the line “These is bloody shoes” from Cardi B’s hit song “Bodak Yellow”, following James Corden’s instruction.

Barbra Streisand and James Corden’s conversation

The small talk gave James Corden a scare when Barbra admitted she’s not the best driver, and failed the written exams three times.

What’s most interesting about their conversation in between their carpool duets, is when Barbra gives a hint of why she is considered one of the most powerful figures in Hollywood.

James Corden recalled how Barbra called up Apple CEO Tim Cook to change the way Siri says her name on the iPhone. Barbra Streisand said people had been mispronouncing her name as “Streizand” and not as “Streisand”, and what better way to change that than to call Tim Cook?

Then Barbra casually said she once called the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs when she couldn’t figure out something with her computer. She asked Jobs why it’s not possible to erase a bad address, and Jobs blamed Microsoft for that.

James Corden also brought up the topic of Barbra’s stage fright which led to the singer’s absence onstage for 27 years.

Does she still get nervous now? Barbra says, “I don’t get nervous nervous. But I don’t enjoy it. I get scared, I just don’t want to disappoint people.”

Asked what she tells herself before she goes onstage nowadays, Barbra says, “Let go and let God.”
