Former dental hygienist Ashley Hess (age 27) and Grammy Award winner singer and songwriter Jason Mraz (age 41) performed the latter’s biggest hit “I’m Yours” during the American Idol 2019 Top 20 All-Star Duets.
Ashley initially played the piano and sang the first few lines, her amazing voice eliciting a “Wow” from judge Katy Perry.
When Jason Mraz joined Ashley in the duet, the audience and the judges couldn’t help but cheer.
At the end of their superb performance, the judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan gave them a well-deserved standing ovation.
Ashley Hess made it through the Top 14 contestants of American Idol. She joined Laci Kaye Booth, Walker Burroughs, Madison VanDenburg, Uche, Riley Thompson, and Laine Hardy, as the first half of the Top 14. The second half of the Top 14 will be named on Monday, April 8, 2019.
