Inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine, “Little America” goes beyond the headlines to bring to life the funny, romantic, heartfelt and surprising stories of immigrants in America. The first season consists of eight half-hour episodes, each with its own unique story from different parts of the world.

“Little America,” is written and executive produced by Lee Eisenberg (“The Office,” Good Boys), who serves as showrunner, and executive produced by Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, “Silicon Valley”), Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick), Alan Yang (“Master of None,” “Parks and Recreation”), Sian Heder (Tallulah, “Orange Is the New Black”), Joshuah Bearman (Argo), Joshua Davis (Spare Parts) and Arthur Spector (The Shack). Heder also serves as co-showrunner alongside Eisenberg.

Watch now on the Apple TV app. Little America is an upcoming American anthology television series produced for Apple TV+. It will premiere on January 17, 2020. Little America looks to “go beyond the headlines to look at the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and unexpected lives of immigrants in America, at a time when their stories are more relevant than ever.”

On February 8, 2018, it was announced that Apple was developing a television series based on the true stories collection “Little America” featured in Epic Magazine. The show is set to be written by Lee Eisenberg, Kumail Nanjiani, and Emily V. Gordon, all of whom will also executive produce alongside Alan Yang, Joshuah Bearman, and Joshua Davis. Arthur Spector will act as co-executive producer. Production companies involved with the series include Universal Television. On June 19, 2018, it was announced that Apple had given the production a series order. The show began filming in New Jersey in early 2019.

Harvey Guillén is an American actor who is best known for his role as the human familiar Guillermo in the 2019 television series What We Do in the Shadows. Guillén is set to star in season 2. Guillén has appeared in recurring roles in television series such as Alistair Delgado on Huge (2010), Cousin Blobbin on The Thundermans (2013–2018), George Reyes in Eye Candy (2015), and Benedict Pickwick on The Magicians (2017–2018). He also appeared in the 2013 film The Internship. Beginning in 2019, he plays the role of Guillermo, the vampires’ human familiar, in the FX television series What We Do in the Shadows. He is also set to appear in Quibi’s upcoming science fiction drama series Don’t Look Deeper.

TheWrap included Guillén in a list of “2019 Emmy Contenders”. Hank Steuver, in his review of What We Do in the Shadows in The Chicago Tribune, stated that Guillén “provides at least half the big laughs” in the show.
