The Thing About Harry tells the story of high school enemies, uber-jock and promiscuous player Harry (Niko Terho) and out-and-proud Sam (Jake Borelli), who are forced to share a car ride to their Missouri hometown for a friend’s engagement party on Valentine’s Day. Things take a turn when Sam learns Harry has also come out. Stuck spending the night together in a roadside motel, they begin to develop a deep friendship, with neither admitting a potential romance may be brewing, leaving them wondering if one road trip could change the rest of their lives.

Jake Borelli and Niko Terho lead the cast of The Thing About Harry. Joining them in the cast are Karamo Brown, Britt Baron, and the film director Peter Paige.
Borelli will play Sam, a handsome and intelligent young gay man with an overly idealistic worldview. Sam came out when he was still in high school – a brave thing to do in his small Missouri town, but he was bullied constantly.
Terho will portray Harry, an emotionally uncomplicated player who has left a lot of broken hearts in his wake. But deep inside, Harry yearns for love, family and stability, though he’s still scared of commitment.
Karamo will play Paul, an overbearing gay man while Baron will play Stasia, Sam’s edgy and opinionated best friend. Paige plays as Casey, Sam’s warm-hearted roommate, who always wants the best for Sam.
American actor Jake Borelli (age 28) is best known for his roles as Wolfgang on the Nickelodeon comedy series The Thundermans (2015–2018) and Dr. Levi Schmitt on the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy (2017–present). Borelli was born in Columbus, Ohio but decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Upon moving to LA, he quickly landed supporting roles in TV shows such as iCarly, Parenthood, NCIS: Los Angeles, True Jackson, VP, Greek and Suburgatory. He’s also appeared in several short films. In 2017, he landed a role in the Netflix comedy drama film Reality High. That same year, it was announced that Borelli would be playing intern Dr. Levi Schmitt on the popular medical TV series, Grey’s Anatomy.
Borelli publicly came out as gay on his personal Instagram in November of 2018, moments after Grey’s Anatomy’s Season 15 Episode 6 was aired, where his character Dr. Levi Schmitt, also came out.
Meanwhile, newcomer Niko Terho is an actor, known for Sno Babies and Sweetbitter (2018).
American television host, reality television personality, author, and activist Karamo Brown (age 39), who plays the role of Paul, began his career in 2004 on the MTV reality show The Real World: Philadelphia. He is the first openly gay black man on a reality show. He returned to reality TV on TV One’s The Next 15 in 2016 and hosted MTV’s Are You The One: Second Chances. Brown currently is the culture expert in the Netflix revival of the series Queer Eye.
Brown published a memoir in March 2019 titled Karamo: My Story of Embracing Purpose, Healing, and Hope. In June 2019, Brown appeared in Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video and in August 2019, Brown was announced as one of the celebrities to compete on season 28 of Dancing with the Stars.
In November 2019, Brown’s children’s book, I Am Perfectly Designed, written with Jason “Rachel” Brown and illustrated by Anoosha Syed, was published by Henry Holt.
