Swan performed a rockin’ cover of “I Hate Myself for Loving You” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts during the Group C Playoffs on Week 7 of The Masked Singer 2020 (Season 3).
“I Hate Myself for Loving You” was released as the lead single from the sixth studio album Up Your Alley (1988). The song reached number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 and received a nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 31st Grammy Awards.
Swan was voted “Out” by the audience and her identity was revealed. The Masked Singer judges Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and guest panelist Joel McHale never guessed who was behind the Swan mask.
But a lot of The Masked Singer fans online had guessed it right the first time the Swan appeared on the show.
So who is Swan? The Masked Singer Swan is none other than American actress, singer, director and former child model Bella Thorne (age 22).
Ken Jeong, with whom Swan was sending out heart gestures during the performance was shocked and had to say sorry. Bella Thorne and Ken Jeong co-starred in the movie The DUFF (2015).

Before the reveal, a new video with a set of clues about the celebrity behind Swan was shown.
Bella Thorne played Ruthy Spivey in the TV series My Own Worst Enemy (2008) and Tancy Henrickson in the fourth season of Big Love (2010). She gained popularity for her role as CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up (2010–2013). She also portrayed Paige Townsen in the Freeform drama series Famous in Love (2017–2018). Her film credits include Blended (2014), The DUFF (2015), Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015), You Get Me (2017), Amityville: The Awakening (2017), The Babysitter (2017), Midnight Sun (2018), and Assassination Nation (2018).
Asked why she joined The Masked Singer, Bella said it’s because Ken Jeong was guessing her as the Flamingo (revealed as Adrienne Bailon) in Season 2 . Bella started watching the show since then and thought it was so amazing, “so dope”. She said, “Getting in front of people really gets me super nervous. So this was really out of my comfort zone,” she said.
Bella explained that the vampire and fangs clue refer to Filthy Fangs, a record label she co-owns with her sister.
A lot of people guessed Swan was Kristen Stewart. To this, Bella said, “There’s one thing you guys didn’t really catch on. So you guys went straight to Kristen Stewart, but it’s Bella because she played Bella.”
The “fans and followers” in the clues refer to Bella’s 22 million social media followers. The “sunshine” and dolphin figurine hints to her upbringing in Miami. The shaking thermos hints to her role in “Shake it Up.”
