Bhim Niroula (age 54), a hotel manager, sings a super-catchy love song called “Sunday Morning Love You” written especially for his partner during the Auditions round on Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14).
Simon Cowell hated it and pressed his buzzer after Bhim sang a few lines of the song. But the rest of the BGT judges, namely David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden loved the song. BGT presenters Ant and Dec and the whole audience danced and sang with Bhim, which surprised Simon Cowell, who said he can’t imagine putting the song on the radio and hearing it.
Alesha said the song was catchy and the melody is sweet and lovely. She thinks it’s a hit record. David said Bhim will be loved by the British public every day and voted “Yes”. Alesha and Amanda followed with their own “Yes” votes.
With three “Yes” votes, Bhim got through the next round of BGT.

Britain’s Got Talent (aka BGT) is a televised British talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. It is hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (also known as Ant and Dec), and produced by both Thames (formerly Talkback Thames) and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and broadcast on ITV every year. The show premiered on June 9, 2007 following the success of America’s Got Talent the previous year.
Every year, contestants of any age can audition for the contest with whatever talent they wish to demonstrate. Auditionees seek to impress a panel of judges – at present, consisting of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams – in order to secure a place in the live rounds of BGT. The winner gets a cash prize and a place within that year’s performances for the Royal Variety Performance before members of the British Royal Family.
On average, Britain’s Got Talent draws 9.9 million viewers per series. A spin-off titled Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, featuring the same judges and hosts, was later produced and broadcast in 2019, following the success of the American edition’s spin-off America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Britain’s Got Talent is contracted to run until 2024.
Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14) will air in two parts, the first in April and May 2020 with pre-recorded audition episodes, while the second containing the live rounds to be aired at a later date. The series was split into two parts because of the Covid-19 pandemic or coronavirus outbreak and the resulting lockdown issued by the British government.
