Janie Gordon (age 21) from Victoria performed “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac during the Auditions round on The Voice Australia 2020 (Season 9).
Gordon got a 4-chair-turn from The Voice Australia judges/coaches Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland, Boy George, and Guy Sebastian. Among the four coaches, Gordon picked Delta to be her coach.

The Blind Auditions: Janie Gordon Sings ‘Songbird’ | The Voice Australia 2020
“Songbird” was released as the B-side of the single “Dreams” by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. It was taken from their 1977 album Rumours. Eva Cassidy’s version was released in 1998 on her posthumous compilation album Songbird. Her album eventually reached number 1 in the UK in 2001.
The ninth season of The Voice Australia begun airing on May 24, 2020. For the first time in the show’s history all of the coaches are returning: Delta Goodrem for her eighth, Kelly Rowland and Boy George for their fourth and Guy Sebastian for his second. Following the exit of Sonia Kruger, Darren McMullen, who hosted the first three seasons, returns with new co-host, Renee Bargh.
Right after the end of the eighth season, the series was renewed for a ninth season and it was announced that all coaches would return the new season.
The show is part of the television franchise The Voice and is structured as three phases: blind auditions, battle rounds and live performance shows. The show added another phase in 2017: the knockouts between the blind auditions and the battles. The winner receives a recording contract with Universal Music or EMI (2019) as well as A$100,000 and other prizes.
